We are a worldwide team of changemakers fighting food and water insecurity

Grow hope, feed your future.

World Hunger Team seeks to improve the health and well-being of people in poverty by enabling access to organic and sustainable nutrition and safe, clean drinking water.

All donations go IMMEDIATELY to provide food and water around the globe.

Real Impact, Measurable Results

“Access to fresh organic food and potable water should not be a privilege, it should be a basic human right enjoyed by every man, woman and child on this planet. At WHT we are literally creating a true TEAM of caring, concerned individuals and organizations.

YOU can be a part of that team.”

— Randall Putala, Founder + CEO of World Hunger Team

Our Foundation

Restoring across Nutrition, Health and Dignity America and the World

WHT is not a food pantry or a farm, although we work with many people who operate them. We create affordable and simple SYSTEMS in 3 categories:

1) GROW ORGANIC FOOD
2) CAPTURE & STORE RAINWATER
3) PROCESS RAINWATER FOR AGRICULTURE + PERSONAL USE (WASH)

MISSION STATEMENT: “World Hunger Team seeks to improve the health and well-being of people in poverty by enabling access to organic and sustainable nutrition and safe, clean drinking water.”

Growing Health Where It’s Needed Most
We improve the well-being of underserved communities by providing access to sustainable, organic food and clean water through replicable, practical systems that respond to real-life needs.

Non-Circulating Hydroponics

Plants need 3 things to thrive: a) LIGHT, b) WATER, and c) NUTRIENTS. The Kratky System of hydroponics provides everything a plant need to thrive. We replicate the light of the sun with low-cost LED grow lights. And we use only 100% natural mineral nutrients. They provide the plant with everything it needs to reach maximum nutritional value as well as excellent taste.

GROWING UNITS are completely modular for growing organic food anywhere - indoors or out!
What makes our food-growing systems unique is that we provide everything you need to grow organic food, A to Z. They are ideal for people who LOVE to garden but simply do not have the space - or time - to manage a garden. Our systems require very little supervision, so your plants grow on "autopilot" 365 days a year.

2009
A Mission Born from One Idea
We began with a bold question: What if we could grow food where nothing had grown before? From a single book came a movement — to reclaim land, restore dignity, and fight hunger through practical, low-tech solutions.
2015
First Seeds of Innovation
Our early hydroponic gardens took root in underserved regions. With basic tools and big dreams, we began building scalable food systems that anyone could replicate.
2020
Expanding the Field
We secured 8 acres in Uganda — not just for farming, but for testing, learning, and supporting local communities. These fields became labs for empowerment and impact.
Today
From Local Gardens to Global Impact
Today, our systems grow in multiple countries. Indoors or out, we empower communities with tools to feed themselves and build lasting resilience — one garden at a time.
